More than 25 years in business, born in Hamburg, and still feeling at home in this amazing city despite now having lived in the countryside with my kids for 14 years. Always returned to the north after short stints in other places. Started in 1989 as an apprentice for working in a bank in Hamburg. Got into payment already during that period. BTX and the first POS devices (ZVT700 – how vintage) came up and I installed one of the very first terminals in Hamburg in a shoe shop. It was amazing. Since then, never left the payment industry. Different jobs involving POS, ecom, Processing, acquiring, and issuing always made the daily business interesting and worthwhile.Have seen the whole range from large enterprise companies to small owner driven ones each with different advantages.The ever-changing aspects of making payment convenient to the people who use it, are driving my day. The ignorance of the industry to accept this challenge also
