I joined the Marine Corps in August of 2012 and currently still serving on the reserve side. My military occupational specialty is Automotive Organizational Mechanic where I got my first experience in the automotive field. I spent most of my time on active duty managing the Motor Transport Shop. I had a lot of different responsibilities which consisted of ensuring all weekly, monthly, and yearly preventative maintenance was being performed on all tactical and Gov't issued vehicles, generators and other miscellaneous items. I also kept inventory records up to date on over 10,000 tools and filing the proper paperwork to replace missing or broken items as well as dispatching the tactical and government issued vehicles for different training exercises, color guard events, and military funeral details. I utilized the Publications Management Library System daily to keep up to date records on all job billets and equipment manuals for all tools and equipment. Leaving active duty and entering the reserves I accepted a job offer at National Tire and Battery as a General Service Tech and quickly excelled into becoming a full technician. After the Store Manager and Service manager left the company I temporarily filled the Service Manager position where it became my duty to greet and build customer loyalty by providing the best service the industry has to offer, manage the flow of cars into the service bays and assign tasks to the other technicians, inform customers of vehicle inspection findings, educate the customers on the recommendations to make sales, and assist the store manager with operational duties while still performing my duties as a technician. I am highly professional and hardworking. I strive for perfection and always believe there is room for improvement. I will make any company I work for better as I have shown this multiple times in the past. I always do more than my job requires and learn all the other position requirements as well.
