My team is currently overseeing an update to the Strategic Transportation Plan, developing a Micromobility Network, overseeing the Shared Micromobility Pilot, developing an E-Mobility Strategy, and planning/engaging on infrastructure improvements to help the city meet its safety, mode share, and greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets.

Vancouver, Canada Area

Studio manager for WATT Consulting Group's office in Vancouver.Managed various transportation planning projects throughout Metro Vancouver, British Columbia and Alberta, including providing technical assistance to local governments and developers, on various transportation planning practices. Supervise a team of five planners and engineers. Oversee proposal opportunities. Areas of expertise include integrated mobility planning, active transportation network planning, active transportation accommodation, shared micromobility programs, micromobility accommodation, program development, evaluation, strategic communication, education, encouragement, and public engagement.

Calgary, Canada Area

Supervised a team of up to 9 active transportation planners, engineers, and ambassadors that was on the frontlines of the City's efforts to improve conditions for walking and biking. Managed consultants who planned, designed and improved several major corridors. Oversaw spot improvement program and installation of bike racks. Oversaw the creation of a framework and permit process for a dockless bike-share and e-scooter pilot. Worked with provincial partners on the Alberta Bike Design Guide and to allow for e-scooters to operate on-street. Supervised the successful implementation of the downtown cycle track pilot. Responded to ~50 media interviews per year. Acted as manager of Liveable Streets Division during absences. Developed a four-year capital plan, and annual work plan programming. Created key messages for our projects and initiatives. Developed performance targets for sustainable transportation modes. Mentored employees, developed work plans and managed ever-shifting priorities within the organization. Developed and fostered relationships with City Council, and staff in other departments and maintained a productive relationship with advocates.

Calgary, Canada Area

Lead roll on implementing Calgary's Cycling Strategy. Developed monitoring program to help evaluate progress towards meeting the policies objectives. Determined priorities for the annual work plan. Planned, designed, and built improvements to encourage people cycling. Initiated modifications to traffic by-laws. Created the bicycle program and its social media presence. Reported back to Council annually. Media spokesperson. Liaised with various internal and external stakeholders to influence matters. Installed bike parking. Hired and supervised the Education Planner.

Tucson, Arizona Area

Managed the bicycle and pedestrian program. The program dealt with the promotion of sustainable transportation options on behalf of the region, the creation of policies and transportation plans. I also led the planning, designing and building of physical improvements, monitored of use and trends, wrote grants, created graphics, conducted GIS analysis, wrote reports to Council, did stakeholder relations, staffed an advisory committee, organized large public events, performed media relations, managed projects, handled social media accounts, worked with consultants, various departments and agencies and elected officials, developed education programming, and installed bike racks. I also reviewed development applications and provided input to make developments and transportation improvements less car-centric and more conducive to people walking and biking.
