My position at Pyxant Labs includes method development, method validation, and sample analysis of a wide range of compounds in a variety of biological matrices. This work is regulated by the FDA in a GLP environment, with occasional involvement of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM). In support of this work, I have authored methods and reports, maintained equipment and instrumentation, and communicated with clients for project updates and audits. This position requires daily flexibility with changes in instrument scheduling and project workflow.

I spent one year in total working at Gilead through the NCSU Cooperative Education program. This was a valuable experience in which I learned how to perform a variety of extractions in blood plasma, with analysis by LC/MS/MS, for FDA-regulated pharmacokinetic studies in a GLP environment. I also authored a few regulated documents, mainly method validation reports, and I assisted with sample receipt and equipment maintenance.
