Obviously temporary until ski season comes around late fall !! Just married off our 5th child Josh last month and relocated to Mich on the Great Lakes (St Mary's River) from the frozen water known as snow to the slightly warm water which some days feels like ice. So if anyone out there needs temporary consultant or construction management assistance see background below as I am the guy to call--but I am pretty picky as to when and where and enjoying retirement--has to be great to get me to go!

Now that ski season has ended (78 days on the mountain at Breckenridge with best office in the country!) and my wife Marcia and I have just married our 4th daughter Lindsey on 3 July 2014 I am ready to do what ever short term needs folks have until ski season again when I will be returning to Breckenridge--need to pay for this wedding and now have the time to do construction management or whatever fits my experience--as you scroll down you will see I had over 30 years experience with the Air Force ending my career as Dep BCE at the AF Academy and then doing smoozing in my client development role for several years and more recently part time construction management--not looking too hard as retirement is great but if the right opportunity comes along......

Back to the greatest office in the world again teaching kids to love skiing for the 3rd season. As the only grandpa in kids ski school on Peak 8 they all know me as Grampa Tom. Switched to part time this year (only 38 days vice 78 last year) because I am retired and at the end of 78 days it became a job! I do not want a job!So if anyone has need for part time consulting or construction management will see if the timing would work for a short term gig--other wise will be smoking the powder between teaching assignments! One of the instructors here teaching adults is 87 years old so I figure I have at least 20 more years doing this!

Snow has fallen and I have moved once again to the best office I have ever had! Teaching kids this year and enjoying it even more as kids are fearless. Probably will not have time to do any consulting/construction management until April unless it is truly a super opportunity! Still playing hockey on same line with my 25 yr old son Josh every Sun night at AF Academy--living the dream

Pay is not as great but my office is near the top of the world!! Also doing part time consulting with US2 out of Dallas--spent 3 weeks in Japan in Sep and 3 weeks in Nov doing construction management on steam trap installation project for Atsugi Naval Air Station--so if anyone has a need that can pry me out of the mountains for a short timeframe I may be the guy! But it has to be a good one to trade out my current work location--or the snow has to melt!

Now that ski season is winding down guess I need to pursue activities that pay some bills! I already work part time for US2 out of Dallas where I recently did construction management job for them in Atsugi Naval Air Station Japan where we replaced 275 steam traps which will save the Navy up to a million/year in energy savings--spent 3 weeks in Sep 2012 and then 3 weeks in Nov on addition to the contract (they liked what we did the first go round!) So it has to be the right fit but I am available when and where the right fit exists--send me an email as I am retired and hard to get a hold of as I am usually out having fun somewhere!! I do have 44 years experience but I am barely 30 years old-not sure how that came to be.

Smoozer to my AF clients for construction projects where we did over $75 Million in construction at AF Academy in less than 6 years--also set up local office for Weston and hired mainly AF Academy former employees (retired) that I knew would do super job for the Academy which they did and the reason for repeat business success!

Already hit this one--worked for 7 different Colonels most of whom are in linked in doing engr business across the nation--had a great 12 years!

Deputy to Base Civil Engineers at Wurtsmith MI/ Elmendorf AFB Alaska/ and the great US AF Academy where I retired as a civil servant 10 years ago last month--how time flies! The experience served me well to transition to ski instructor with no grievances to handle and what a view at the top of Breckenridge CO

More of the same--had the pleasure of being staff mech engr for USAFE at Ramstein Germany when we still had 29 bases we supported all over Europe--fun job and I was also able to play for Zweibrucken hockey club in the regional league south--man who is lucky enough to get paid for what they love to do while serving your country in Europe/ skiing in Germany, Austria and France. As the old saying goes if you are lucky enough to get paid for doing what you love--you are lucky enough
