I have been fortunate enough, following a highly competitive recruitment process, to have been promoted to join the executive team overseeing all 11 social enterprises at Enactus Nottingham working as Project Director and Technology advisor.

Following my work as Supply Chain Specialist within Project Nexus I then was promoted to run the team. This was a team of 7 members where I not only developed further my skills in leadership but also recruitment and how to motivate those within the team to drive towards our objectives. The goal of Project Nexus was to design and sell sustainable water bottles in partnership with Sustainable Water. The profits from which were then used to implement sustainable water solutions such as solar powered water pumps in school in Kenya. I worked within the team specialising in Supply Chain Management. The goal of Project Nexus was to design and sell sustainable water bottles in partnership with Sustainable Water. This not only taught me a real world understanding of how supply chains work but also the communication, negotiation skills and consideration needed of the organisations core objectives to succeed in finding a good supplier. During the summer then I was fortunate to be accepted into the Tess-Valley Business internship programme within Tess-Valley Combined Authority. This programme was extremely insightful, I spent time working on research tasks looking at funding and investment opportunities as well as working with SME's to help them overcome problems and further understanding how many different organisations develop and run day to day.
