Responsible for field management of an 80 million dollar Transmission Line upgrade project for PGL. Coordinates with PGL management staff to schedule necessary personnel for main shutdowns, corrosion control activities, and final tie-ins. Communicate with all vested parties to ensure projects are completed on time without cost overruns. Works with PGL engineering staff to expedite change orders, allowing the project to maintain scheduling and budgetary commitments. Maintains an open daily dialogue with the contractor management team assuring all policies, procedures, schedules and safety practices are adhered to.

Charged with overseeing a diverse group of Operations and Maintenance General Supervisors and their 90+ Union wage earner direct reports. Responsibilities include assuring all construction, compliance and maintenance work is completed safely, on time, and within budget parameters. Developing current General supervisors to assure a high level of leadership, teamwork and performance is maintained going forward. Identifying training and coaching opportunities to create a driven supervisory staff, capable of leading a union workforce that operates at a high level. Recognizing and supporting successes achieved by the staff through teamwork and individual initiative, to ensure the safe and reliable function of our gas distribution system.

Responsible for planning, scheduling and assigning work to a diverse group of 30 union wage earners engaged in the construction, operation, maintenance and repair of the gas distribution system, gas equipment, and interior piping on customer premises. Responsible for overseeing the completion of pipeline safety surveys, cathodic protection activities, and other associated regulatory compliance work. Performs pipeline and personal safety related audits and tailgates to all direct reports. Ensure the protection of company property, approves the issuance of tools, materials and other supplies to wage earners, and offers assistance in any and all areas where applicable. Ability to communicate in writing and orally to effectively resolve issues with customers and industry professionals regarding gas piping facilities, pertinent codes and company practices.

Held various positions beginning with Laborer and advancing to the highest union position of Crew Leader. Responsible for completing Gas Main Distribution System maintenance and construction. Job tasks included gas main and service leak repairs, new installation of gas mains and services, Cathodic Protection on the distribution system, Facility Locating and Marking, setting of regulators and meters. Assuring direct reports are completing tasks in accordance with Peoples Gas and Pipeline procedures and policies. Ensure all crew members are in compliance with Peoples Gas safety standards on a daily basis.
