Hi, my name is Thomas Van Blunk. I am a senior studying accounting at Millersville University with a GPA of 3.40, and I expect to graduate in May of 2025. Regarding my related experience, I have been a Marauder Fund Student Investment Association member for a year and a half. During that time, I have researched stocks to invest in using financial analyst skills while communicating and working with a small team of ten. I also was an accounting intern at the Bucks County Recorder of Deeds. At that internship, I worked as part of a team of twenty people and helped collect recording fees using Excel and QuickBooks. I also reviewed the office's income statements and balance sheets and created journal entries to see how to increase revenue efficiently using accounting skills. Finally, I was a ride operator at Morey's Piers. During that time, I learned how to use teamwork and problem-solving skills to address customer needs and concerns.In addition to my related experience, I also bring many skills. I am a Microsoft Certified Excel Expert. When I received this certification, I showed I had advanced knowledge of Excel by using pivot tables, functions, compound functions, graphs, and more. I also have work experience using Excel and QuickBooks during my Bucks County Recorder of Deeds internship.
