- CORONA interim position - as business was down to zero and I prefer to keep moving -In my role as Interim team leader, I’m responsible of a team of 35 employees that service one of the clients of teamleiders.nu. Together with my team, we try to achieve maximum results/targets set by our client. Of course, targets are only in plain sight when the team runs like a well-oiled machine. This means, I have worked daily on effective trainings, personal coaching & development plans, team strategy and creating the best ‘online’ experience for the teams which the current situation imposes. Besides the operational task of running the team & community, I’ve needed to discuss and develop a strategy with several stakeholders to make sure this project got the results we needed. So far, I must say this is one of the most special projects I have worked on: the size of the operation, the great number of stakeholders and the ‘way of working’ that we needed to adjust to the current situation caused me to develop another skill: building an online team community. From hundreds of team/zoom calls, break-out rooms, Kahoot quizzes, to blackboard projects towards the ‘online’ training and coaching of my staff members. Happy to be part of this unique project!

At the Safety Group, my role as a business unit manager was to lead the units Event Travel, Vervoersprojecten (VPN) & School Travel. All mentioned labels offered a ‘door-to-door’ transport services with a focus on specific transport demands, such as congress mobility, educational/school trips & festival and event transport solutions. I really liked the fact I could ‘build’ a brand, team and re-develop the current labels. In this way, I’ve managed to develop (and create) labels and transform them into unique specializations that increased profit with fewer costs. As a business unit manager, I was directly responsible for all commercial results, staff, strategy, operational workflows, and sales. Besides this, I loved to coordinate my own projects for mostly B2B clients (logistics around large-scale events, re-brandings, incentives, kick-offs and much more). It was really the combination of ‘leading’ and ‘coordinating’ that made this job a perfect match for me. A few of my daily tasks: • Creative thinking: create new strategies for our products & sales;• Build effective and healthy relationships with our suppliers for the highest (but most cost-effective) delivery guarantees;• Monitor and review project activities and ensure that they are brought to completion within the scheduled periods of time and budget;• Team lead: motivational & training skills encourage and lead the team into the desired direction with effective training and mentoring, with the use of 1-on-1 training, stand-ups, 360-degrees courses and more; • Coordinate with other business unit managers, integrating (shared) objectives and ideas for organizational Safety Group growth;• Perform day-to-day administrative task, such as creating working schedules, approval of working hours, general administration and purchase checks.

As a commercial account manager responsible for building and retain our clients (area of Utrecht). This was a nice position but I didn’t have enough (commercial) challenge. I decided to leave after 3 months.

Created a new nightlife concept called Club Transfer. Due to this concept clients could easily enjoy the nightlife areas in other cities then their own. Full responsible for several holiday concepts (Lloret by Night and the Mega Pool Festival). We made it possible for thousands of (mostly Dutch) clients to experience one of these big party concepts along the Costa Brava (concentrated around Lloret de Mar – Empuria Brava). This experience was totally ‘all-in’ with transfers by luxury coach, entrance tickets for several (night) clubs and personal escort by our staff during the nights.
