Operational management of the entire Assembly Department including the receiving, warehousing and assembly of fabricated goods, as well as shipping the complete installation to the customer.I am responsible for the planning and management as well as operational optimisation of the Assembly Department, to ensure the best possible Return on Investment for all resources.Part of my responsibilities includes developing and executing a strategic vision for the Assembly area in line with the overall objectives of the company. This includes assessment of daily production records to identify any specific issues and to analyse trends, ensuring that possible production/ output issues are addressed before they become problematic.I develop and optimise standard manufacturing procedures for all units produced by Vandewiele, in order to meet product specifications and ensure total quality management.Coaching and mentoring of a large contingent of staff is an integral part of my day to day management responsibilities and includes supporting staff to achieve their best possible performance, while challenging and growing their skills. These staff members vary widely in their roles and experience.Proactive management of the department budget, reporting, risk and safety management all play a significant role in my daily execution.

The primary driver of this role was promoting efficiency, assuring quality and modernising the environment to increase Return on Investment. The linking of the assembly of jacquard machines to the automatic/automated and manual warehouses enabled automated logistics to work together with the manual assembly stations.This role required technical knowledge, a fundamental understanding of the entire finished good manufacturing process and an understanding of how to improve process and production efficiency. This role required team leadership and management.

Managing the logistics teams end-to-end process which included incoming goods into receiving, reception and entry control of the goods into the primarily manual warehouses. Additionally, management of the business process and the warehousing team to store, supply and ship the goods in and out of the warehouses.Skills used included; record keeping, team leadership, training and assessment, reporting, safety management, management of inventory levels across the supply chain.
