I was responsible for the first few weeks to work and debug a LabView code to control a microscope stage that a motor controller would control. While I did that, I also coded in the ability to control the microscope stage with a Steel Series controller. Afterwards, I was given the responsibility to research and design a new version of an adapter for an endoscope to cell phone device called the Endockscope. I researched the design, researched the endoscopes, and used SolidWorks to 3D model a device that can be used. I would then use a IIIP Monoprice 3D printer to print the device to create prototypes. I am using filters to change light color that goes through the system to change the fluorescence of tissues and to see structures within the tissue. This is my current project. I have received a grant for the project and presented the project’s details on the UCI 2021 Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) symposium in the medical devices section on May 21, 2021.

Responsible for creating a new system to test patients rapid eye movement (REM) while keeping a small budget. Using a Pupil Lab glasses, I tested REM with a premade optokinetic (OKN) system and created an analysis script in MatLab to determine average speed and acceleration. I was also responsible with creating a prototype OKN graphical user interface (GUI) on MatLab as well that can have its values, colors, and speed to be changed. While in my internship in the summer, I managed to finish a prototype for the OKN GUI in MatLab for ease of use for patients. I managed to develop a rudimentary analysis script that can give average values using Pupil Lab Glasses.
