I have been working in the Technology Sector for the last 28 years with a wide variety of experience in the field. I have specialized in the area of ITSM, ITOM, ITIL and Service Asset and Configurations Management over the last 19 years.I currently manage the ServiceNow ITOM products and CMDB capabilities for ABSA and am very involved in the support, development, enhancement and optimization of the platform to optimize the ServiceNow value add to our organization.During the last 17 years at ABSA I have been privilaged enough to be part of many system implementations in the IT Service management space. My role has been more specific to the implementation of Service Asset and Configuration Management systems and processes aligned with the ITIL framework.I have participated in the implementation of many IT Asset and Configuration Management environements on many different platforms and systems and have also migrated many of these CMDBs from one system to another.Together with my team at ABSA we have successfully migrated the IT Asset and Configuration Management technologies from a Mainframe based solution called SOLVE to the eB and eCMDB solutions and recent migrations include that of the CMS migrations from Enterprize Bridge to CA R12.6 ITAM and SWCM as well as CA R12.6 CMDB to ServiceNow CMDB. Most recently I have been involved in the implementation of the new ABSA ServiceNow system and I am currently responsible for the operational management of the solutions as well as Configuration Management and CMDB compliance.My career in IT, spanning more than 27 years includes roles from being a support tech, IT department Manager, Service Delivery Manager, Datacentre Manager and specialist/Manager in IT Hardware/Software Asset Management as well as Configuration Management.
