Broadly developed multi-master, applied probabilist trained in traditional econometric - and modern data science methods, mathematical finance, legal and economic analysis. Skilled in structuring complex questions, synthesizing different viewpoints and the effective communication of results. Looking for multidisciplinary challenges in investment, risk management and financial regulation. Asking the right questions: Having earned separate degrees in law, economics, quantitative finance and philosophy, I studied these subjects bottom-up from their own set of assumptions rather than immediately jumping to their intersection in financial regulation. Thus, I excel at zooming in - and out of the perspective of each of these disciplines and determining the right questions to be asked within each of them in order to answer complex interdisciplinary questions. I have successfully used and sharpened these skills through working experience as an intern with VEMW and as a researcher at Tilburg University, achieving an international peer-reviewed publication, a top-10 ranked SSRN working paper and lifting questions of cooperative banking out of the heterodox economic literature, anchoring them within standard economic methodology and determining ways and data to test the newly derived hypotheses. Being a doer at heart: Whether the task is to provide analysis or to develop actual solutions, I strongly believe in a practical mindset and feel equally at home computing risk measures, deriving portfolio strategies, performing data analysis, writing code or sifting through large legal documents, as I am when synthesizing and looking at the bigger picture. Communicating effectively: I focus on the core of arguments and communicate concisely. I have previously presented my work at company level, at international policy bodies and at international academic conferences, supervised students and gained teaching experience. Finally, I have also broadly developed through a wide range of extracurriculars, enjoy being a source of team-spirit and am always ready to jump in when the pace quickens.
