Currently a Station Duty Manager for Merseyrail, I am responsible for the day to day running of Liverpool Central train station, the busiest underground station in the UK outside of London. Working closely with the British Transport Police and Carlisle Security officers I operate with a safety-first mindset to ensure staff and passenger safety is number one priority. Along with the staff at Merseyrail we work together to ensure that all performance KPIs are met. These include ensuring that trains are safely boarded and dispatched on time, retailer availability is fully utilized and staff engagement is professional to ensure the best possible travel experience for customers.

As a Production Leader I played a key part of driving operational excellence by leading and optimizing specific processes within the organization. Responsible for analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity by bringing a cross functional team together effectively solving problems in the workplace. I also drove change management efforts associated with process improvements, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement to help motivate teams and support the development of the workforce.

Halewood Paint Operations

As a Group Leader in the paint booths I played a key part in the overall quality of the paint booth. Responsible for state of the art spraying equipment and a team of manual paint sprayers I helped drive operational excellence and build lasting customer relationships throughout the plant. I also led a program to train employees new to role and supported their development until they were competent in role. One of the highlights of this was being selected to train and support a number of Chinese delegates with very limited English for 8 weeks during JLR's joint venture with Cherry.
