Tom Walmsley is the senior vice president and general manager of Textron Marine & Land Systems, an operating unit of Textron Systems, a Textron Inc. company. Walmsley oversees all product areas, as well as aftermarket support for all marine and land products. As general manager, Walmsley also has the responsibility to set the strategic path for both the marine- and land-focused business segments, supervise the execution of key programs and oversee all aspects of site infrastructure. Prior to joining Textron Marine & Land Systems in 2005, Walmsley worked for more than two decades in the aerospace industry. He held a variety of program management positions in his 21-year career at Boeing, including director of the Air and Missile Defense programs. His responsibilities included pursuit and development of future Short Range Air Defense (SHORAD) related programs. Walmsley was also a site chief systems engineering functional manager, engineer of military programs, and has led various independent research and development programs. Walmsley received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Northern Arizona University in 1984
