Senior Electrical Engineer, working predominantly within substation secondary, protection, metering & automation. I have successfully completed projects for several clients including TransGrid, Sydney Water, Western Power & Transport for NSW, as well as a number of smaller projects for private renewable developments. This role has provided me with a great deal of experience within the field of secondary and protection, with the most notable projects completed & currently in design/construction phase:- Design reviewer for secondary systems design works on Project Energy Connect,- 6 major substation secondary replacement projects,- 2 substation 400VAC renewals, improving safety as per AS3000 requirements, which includes the completion of a full protection & grading study,- An independent design review project for TransGrid, - A number of assorted smaller scale projects for TransGrid, including a Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) installation project, - A grid expansion project for Western Power, and- Several projects for private renewable customers. This work has included design of full design of protection & control RNFs, RTIs (relay settings) & panels for numerous types of switchyard bays, as well as metering panels, AC & DC supply boards, and the relevant interfaces with HV yard equipment, safety documentation, staging design & procurement/construction support for the client. My work with TransGrid has allowed me gain a large amount of exposure to protection philosophy & design, including the completion of several detailed protection design reports & 400VAC system studies. Along with the experience gained from design projects, I have both lead & been involved in a number of successful project bids, including scope development, project costing & project proposal development. As an accredited project manager, I have managed several small projects to successful outcomes.

Working within the retail sector has allowed me to develop skills in a number of key areas including interpersonal workplace relations and customer service. My role as a weekend manager has allowed me to experience working within a team as well as at the head of a team, and has been an excellent opportunity to develop workplace skills whilst completing my studies.
