Under the fluid conditions of close combat, the SL accomplishes assigned missions without constant guidance from higher headquarters.Serves as the principal administrator responsible for the performance of a variety of duties for the Commander in accomplishing the overall functions of the unit; acts for the Commander in exercising the functions of the command; assists the Commander in establishing goals and objectives and sets priorities for accomplishing organizational functions; directs the work of full time support personnel; assigns, distributes, and reviews work of subordinate unit sections and personnel; reviews incoming directives, policies, and instructions for effect on unit functions; develops, recommends, and takes appropriate action to implement changes; makes recommendations to resolve problems in administrative policies and procedures; manages personnel, finance, and automated systems activities; manages and reviews completed personnel actions.
