Shift Supervisor
Meet operation department’s goals and day to day operational duties and handle special projects,delivery services and inventory tracking. Interact extensively with customers, answering questions and recommending solutions to meet their needs: Responsible for supervising shift operators, plant technicians, and mechanics to ensure optimum plant performance at 560 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant after major overhaul with upgrades. Oversee month to month plant projects and coordinate with other departments to maintain synergistic approach to all plant operations. Plant includes: Siemens V84 gas turbines and KN Steam Turbine and Vogt Heat Recovery Steam Generators. Maintain a safe and efficient operation of the facility on a continuous 24-hour schedule, including implementation of the site safety program Manage shift and auxiliary duties completed on time Supervise Operation of generating units in the most efficient manner possible maximizing availability, thermal efficiency and operational flexibility while on duty, Manage and direct the corrective and preventive maintenance programs assigned to shift andMaintenance personnel Attain/Meet established shift targets/goals Counsel, and guide on shift employees as circumstances warrant Oversee the operational development of shift staff, preparing them for future promotional opportunities Provide direction and support to shift Staff in day to day as well as in forward looking goals and objectives Interact and coordinate plant activities with management, ISO NE, and EMERA personnel as required Effectively communicate relevant information to both plant personnel and corporate personnel Maintain all permits and regulatory requirements
