As a PL/I developer and analyst, working predominantly on the bespoke C.H.O.I.C.E system, developed for Mainframe. As such I have become adept at working in PL/I, and have gained a working knowledge in PL/SQL, SQL, ASASQL, XML and MS Visual Basic. In my time I have been privileged to work with some of the most experienced minds in their field, and granted a great deal of responsibility. My development role, whilst initially limited to coding and unit testing, has expanded to fit the entire development life cycle. I have been involved in projects from the finalizing of the business requirements document to the deployment of the product. In the first year I developed a set of semi-automated testing tools which are still currently in use, and I have resolved numerous production support issues and trained members of other departments in the use of new skills and software.

Delivering excellent customer service, introducing new customers to new products, and being fully knowledgeable on all products and all aspects of the business. Working as part of a dynamic team to develop new ideas to boost sales and improve customer experiences, and constantly improving and training in order to meet targets. As a full time member of staff I was responsible for supervising a part time staff of 2 and operating as the equivalent of an assistant manager in the absence of the store manager. Maintaining daily, weekly and monthly paperwork. Ordering and checking stock, on-site quality control, stock rotation, and events organization.
