    I was tasked with the exciting challenge of opening a new learning centre for the franchise. The franchise offered students an after school program for private academic support and skills development. My role required that I take on a wide variety of job responsibilities, including running sales meetings, administering academic assessments, curating boutique academic programmes, hiring and training new staff members, overseeing daily operations and most importantly fielding the bulk of the students that came to the centre to attend classes. The students ranged from age 4 - 18 and required support for the US, UK, GCSE, A Level, and IB programs.Our core programs were English and Math, however, I provided support for Psychology, Sociology, and History as well. The classes were for students who had enrolled in the language center as an extracurricular activity outside of normal learning or working hours.I was responsible for developing comprehensive academic programmes suitable for classes populated by students of varying ages, language proficiencies and educational backgrounds. The programmes each ran for a period of 12 weeks, at the end of which I was responsible for developing appropriate assessment tools to measure their progress.A strong emphasis was placed on language structure and conversational skills, so that students would be able to take the knowledge and skills into learning/work environments as well as have proficiency in social environments.
