Administered comprehensive diagnostic assessments for depression and anxiety disorders in young clients, including secondary assessments with their guardians. Conducted thorough risk assessments, managed associated risk factors, and developed detailed case formulations. Collaborated in regular supervision sessions to refine therapeutic strategies and contributed to the development of personalized, case-specific interventions.In my role as an honourary assistant psychologist, I was primarily tasked with conducting comprehensive diagnostic assessments for depression and anxiety disorders, as well as in depth risk assessments. These assessments usually took several hours and required a dynamic skill set to conduct. The subject matter was delicate, the clients where emotionally sensitive, the information was collected meticulously, and constant vigilance was required to uphold safeguarding and risk management procedures. A delicate balance had to be struck between leading a free flowing conversation and recording information in detail.Following diagnostic assessments, I took part in supervision and case formulation sessions. These sessions were primarily to inform psychotherapeutic intervention strategy, but also the review ethical practice, risk management procedure, potential research suitability, and case specific learning opportunities.Aside from conducting assessments, I was tasked with providing information regarding treatment delivery, signposting to and supplying relevant supporting information, conducting follow-ups with clients and their guardians. Additionally, I was tasked with collecting and reviewing data relating to intake procedures, service delivery and outcome measures. Create detailed case formulations and work collaboratively to curate and review intervention strategies. Provide on-going support for case-specific therapeutic interventions and facilitate inter-agency collaboration as necessary.

I was tasked with the exciting challenge of opening a new learning centre for the franchise. The franchise offered students an after school program for private academic support and skills development. My role required that I take on a wide variety of job responsibilities, including running sales meetings, administering academic assessments, curating boutique academic programmes, hiring and training new staff members, overseeing daily operations and most importantly fielding the bulk of the students that came to the centre to attend classes. The students ranged from age 4 - 18 and required support for the US, UK, GCSE, A Level, and IB programs.Our core programs were English and Math, however, I provided support for Psychology, Sociology, and History as well. I helped grow and manage a team of teachers, a combination of part-time and full-time employees, by administering their training, conducting daily oversight, and coordinating logistics.Using my formal education in Psychology and my prior experience working in the mental field, I was responsible for overseeing the academic program and teaching methodology of all the students with learning difficulties psychological disorders or developmental challenges by ensuring that we provided a suitable, effective and inclusive learning experience to those students.

As an academic counsellor, I fulfilled a range of different responsibilities, including: administering academic assessments, curating boutique academic programmes, mapping curriculums, developing proprietary academic programmes, running sales meetings, hiring and training new staff members, and delivering personalized academic guidance. I was primarily focused on English and Psychology programmes, however, I covered the Sociology, Math, History, and Geography programmes as well. I provided skills and knowledge training for three different proficiency tests; SAT, IELTS, and TOEFL. as well as all mainstream curriculums; US, UK, GCSE, A Level, and IB programs.A core assignment that I sought out independently was to overhaul the teaching material being used within the franchise. By mapping the subject matter and requirements of certain subjects across all mainstream curriculums, I was able to develop both the comprehensive academic roadmaps for each subject and the proprietary teaching modules there within.With a formal education in Psychology and prior experience working in the mental field, I was responsible for overseeing the academic program and teaching methodology of all the students with learning difficulties psychological disorders or developmental challenges by ensuring that we provided a suitable, effective and inclusive learning experience to those students.I was an integral part of the full-time staff member maintaining a rigorous workload requiring flexibility, preparation, and intimate knowledge of the academic subject matter.

As the sole foreign teacher in an after school language center, I was charged with teaching groups of students between the ages of 14 – 30 years old. The groups contained students of various proficiencies, ranging from beginners to advanced, with an average number of 10 – 15 students in a class. The classes were for students who had enrolled in the language center as an extracurricular activity outside of normal learning or working hours.I was responsible for developing comprehensive academic programmes suitable for classes populated by students of varying ages, language proficiencies and educational backgrounds. The programmes each ran for a period of 12 weeks, at the end of which I was responsible for developing appropriate assessment tools to measure their progress.A strong emphasis was placed on language structure and conversational skills, so that students would be able to take the knowledge and skills into learning/work environments as well as have proficiency in social environments. The lessons were dynamic and interactive so as to facilitate collaboration and mutual benefit amongst students.

As part of my duties, I was charged with leading community events consisting of full days of lessons and activities which were open to all children in the Hoi An community between the ages of 5 – 18 years old. These events often attracted between 40 - 50 children. I was in charge of planning many of the activities as well as leading the proceedings with the assistance of several local teachers. The lessons and activities were specifically focused on practising English language skills, with a secondary focus on arts and crafts. The activities were designed to increase environmental awareness, inspire creativity, increase exposure to the English language and to help show case the learning center to the local community.In addition to leading the community events, I conducted English language classes to students of varying different language proficiency levels and age groups that were enrolled in the school (iLead). These classes provided students with comprehension skills, expansive vocabularies, and the opportunity to advance their practical command English language communication.

I was in charge of administering an English language proficiency course for the local Vietnamese teachers employed at Hoi An International School. I was tasked with developing their mastery of conversation skills using the English language. This would in turn allow the teachers to offer a bilingual education for their international students.The level of English proficiencies varied widely within the group. I was tasked with ensuring that all of the teachers were able to communicate clearly and be equipped with the necessary skills and abilities to teach native English-speaking students. A focus was placed on English as a spoken language, with a secondary focus on language rules, as well as writing and reading skills.To achieve this end, I developed a purpose built academic programme, along with supplementary modules to either support the students with lower levels of English proficiency or facilitate the advanced learning of the students with higher levels of English proficiency. I addition to administering the English language proficiency course, I was also involved in the setting up and stocking of a newly constructed school library.
