My current job roles are:- Embedded System Programming: Requires compliance with BS EN 62304. All software is developed to the MISRA C 2012 coding standard. Involves software development for ARM Core 3 and 8-bit MIcrocontrollers, software architecture and review of other engineer's software.- Verification and Testing activities: Creating testing plans to ensure that hardware meets defined design requirements, and design of testing processes to enable rapid tests on finalised design to decrease delays in production and reduce the number of late-stage fault discoveries. Verification activities require a comparison of chosen requirements and requirements determined by relevant standards.- Performing Risk Analyses for new, and existing product designs. Ensuring risk evaluations are compliant to BS EN 14179

Development of embedded C++ to allow control of microfluidic system, allowing automated calibration of microfluidic biosensors. This was also designed to facilitate real time monitoring of analyte concentrations in brain tissue fluid.Also responsible for developing graphic control interfaces for Android and PC, to allow display of concentrations and allow easy access to control features.This was an 8 week placement and formed the basis of my fourth year individual project for the MEng.
