Hi my name is Tom, I am a 22 year old student currently studying a Bachelor of Information Technology, majoring in Cyber Security at Deakin University. Within my VCE I undertook software development and a Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology, this helped me understand underlying fundamentals of the IT industry. I have had experience using programming languages such as visual basic, python, c++, c# and also game design and development.I have worked at a supermarket since I was 15, working in a team doing customer service and stocking shelves. Throughout my time there I have learnt the importance of hard work and dedication. I have also gained interpersonal and teamwork skills, from talking to and helping customers and working cooperatively with fellow team members.My goal once obtaining my degree is to either work within the cyber security or IT field, and I think my dedication and interpersonal skills will help me to work within the industry.
