Hello, my name is Tommy White. I am from Tucson, Arizona. I come from a huge family. I have 5 brothers and three sisters. There are approximately 25 nieces and nephews all between 3 and 18. My free time is usually spent with family members or visiting the outdoors. I love camping and getting out to the mountains for some fresh air. I recently became interested in paddleboarding. Currently, I am working on my Bachelor of Science Degree at Grand Canyon University in Entrepreneurial Studies. Previously I studied Culinary Arts in 2008 at the Art Institute of Tucson. At the Art Institute, I studied Restaurant and Hotel Management. Much of my career so far was spent in the hospitality industry. During my time in the retail industry, I spent time unloading freight as well as time in management.During my time in the hospitality and retail industry, I recognized the importance of taking care of the team and making guests feel special. The degree program at Grand Canyon University is allowing me to draw from my experiences and make connections with my education. As an entrepreneur, I am exploring the idea/use of social media apps to help users connect in more meaningful ways. My current idea is an all inclusive app for senior citizens who may be mobility impaired where they can meet friend and make connections. It will be easy to to use and facilitate people meeting one another and staying connected.
