Serving as the key Safety leader for our employees at "America's First Superhighway," core responsibilities include overall workplace injury prevention program development and implementation. Directing hazard identification and control activities through our Accident and Illness Prevention Program (AIPP), expanding organizational safety committees across the Commonwealth, implementing a digital Safety Management System, re-building core Safety training programs and developing leading metrics for the organization's Strategic Plan are major project activities.

The family of companies includes Giorgi Mushroom Company, Giorgio Fresh Company, Giorgio Foods, Inc. and Can Corporation of America. A primary goal is to work with business unit EHS Directors to establish strategic initiatives, develop management systems, improve compliance, and implement safety culture change.

Providing a wide variety of clients with professional Environmental, Health and Safety consulting services, including: compliance audits, air & storm water permitting, spill control planning and electronic data management (air quality emissions data). Served as the conceptual and functional design lead for the development of an enterprise-level electronic safety reporting and management system (software).

Served in multiple progressive capacities for The Hershey Company; site EHS Manager, Area Safety Manager, and Corporate EHS Specialist. Started as an operations-level staff manager responsible for the environmental, safety, and emergency response teams at a large industrial complex subject to process safety management (PSM) and risk management program (RMP) regulations.Promoted to area manager for multiple manufacturing operations, mentored site safety professionals and expanded emergency response operations to a second PSM/RMP facility.Accepted a corporate safety role to develop and implement a custom Safety Management System (SMS) for the entire corporation. Conducted on-site launch training for SMS to facility managers and key technical staff at multiple locations throughout the US and Mexico. Provided site integration support for the safety management team at a newly-acquired operation based in Canada. In addition, served as the EHS Review lead on the company's capital planning team and championed two Global EHS Conferences.

Developed and taught an ABET-accredited 400-level environmental technology class in the Occupational Safety and Environmental Health program at a state-accredited university. Course contents included regulatory aspects, toxicology, air/water/waste management and pollution control, and environmental management systems. Served as an adjunct instructor for 3 semesters.

Environmental program manager at Harrisburg, PA Energy-from-Waste facility. Responsible for all regulatory reporting and permitting aspects for this operation, including: waste water pre-treatment, landfill management, ground water monitoring, metals recovery, radiation protection program, and Continuous Emission Monitoring System data management.

Established an independent environmental health and safety consulting company serving multiple industrial clients. Key projects included Phase I ASTM Environmental Due Diligence Assessments, custom training video program development, PA Act 2 Site Closure Investigation, and a RCRA hazardous waste permit-by-rule compliance support audit.

Technical staff manager for all OSHA, EPA, DEP compliance related activities at major biopharmaceutical company. Responsible for ten (10) direct reports, including safety, environmental, health services, and emergency response personnel. Managed a capital and operating expense budget of over $1 million (annually).Extensive permitting and reporting experience, including air pollution control systems, waste water treatment operations, chemical and hazardous waste management activities.
