The S-4 coordinates and manages logistical support for the battalion. The S-4 and forward support company commander conduct joint planning to ensure continuity and integration of logistics throughout operations. The forward support company commander and S-4 host periodic logistics synchronization meetings with commanders, executive officers, and first sergeants to adjust the concept of support and to update logistics requirements, as required. The S-4 has specific responsibilities, which may include:o Advise the commander and staff on sustainment, to include logistics operations, battalion trains concept and positioning.o Monitor ammunition estimates, distribution, and resupply operations.o Monitor transportation requirements and main supply route selection and operation.o Plan non-tactical unit movements.o Prepare logistic estimates and plans using logistic preparation of the battlefield methodology.o Prepare paragraph 4 of the battalion operation order and the logistics support plan or tab, in conjunction with the S-1.o Direct battalion supply and sustainment operations, to include ammunition and refueling.o Monitor distribution operations for classes of supply, except Class VIII within the battalion.o Recommend logistics priorities and employment of S-4 assets that support the commander’s intent and mission accomplishment.o Direct the administrative and logistics operations and battalion support operations, in conjunction with the S-1.o Verify the S-4 section and the BSB support operations officer establish and maintain situational understanding.o Direct administrative movements.o Request maps (digital or paper) for distribution.o Review the battalion’s FS tasks for critical logistic requirements (for example, expeditionary support packages of ammunition or vehicle refuel).

A Battery Commander is full responsible for all facets of the battery including readiness, manning, equipping, and training. It offers a unique leadership outlook and provides ample opportunity to practice and apply management techniques. I managed approximately $15M and up to 74 Soldiers. In a tactical setting, I am responsible for unit movement and position selection, battery survivability, and mission command.

The platoon leader is responsible for all aspects of platoon operations. The platoon leader will locate in a position to best lead the platoon, considering mission variables and the level of unit training. Mission Engineering and Requirements Engineering is a customer oriented team that assists directorates with identifying requirements needs for their programs. I work as a part of the Systems Engineering process on future military ground vehicles and supporting technologies by providing test design and validation and military operations experience.

Worked in driver information on the F150 instrument cluster. I worked as a lineman doing new construction of fiber optic lines and service installations. As an employee of a small company, it was often required to draft my own construction plans and manage part inventory, project management, regulatory compliance, vehicle maintenance, and personnel training.

In my time at Consumers Energy, I planned distribution upgrades including fusing, conductors, and regulators; planned and supervised load transfers for substation maintenance; designed projects concerning those plans, created/oversaw work orders, and ordered materials for said projects; inspected circuits, devices, and proposed work locations; managed and resolved multiple database systems; and communicated with electric construction crews verifying proper project completion. Gained experience was in MicroStation J, ArcSoft GIS, SAP, project planning, and power distribution networks.

During my time there, I operated under minimal supervision administrating users and systems, planning systematic computer replacements, managing several legacy devices, and executing planned upgrades to servers.
