    At StrateX I work in a small team on the core quantitative functionalities of our software suite. The first and foremost part of that is the scheduling algorithm. The scheduling algorithm schedules contact centre employees in multi-activity shifts in a cost optimal way while still reaching target KPI's for certain work loads and also adhering to custom business rules. To estimate future KPI's we use work load forecasts as an input. The KPI's are calculated with a discrete event simulation, this is needed because of the multi-skilledness of certain employees. The algorithm is deployed on Azure and written in Kotlin. For certain sub problems Google OR-tools is used. The second module is the forecasting module. The forecasting module is used for predicting work loads in the long and short term. It is written in python and als deployed on Azure.
