About Thomas Wilkinson
When younger, I was never able to decide which I loved more: software or hardware. Knowing how something worked from just a software or hardware aspect was never enough for me. So, as a means to be as well-rounded and ambitious as possible, I chased both my passions and am now a dual major in electrical engineering and computer science at New Mexico State University concentrating in computers and microelectronics.My programming and software engineering skills have proved to be a great compliment to electrical engineering. I'm now able to apply my knowledge and skills in both my fields through being the avionics lead for the Atomic Aggies where our rocket competes in the Spaceport America Cup, preforming research and assisting engineers at the Physical Science Laboratory, and personal side projects.Overall, my dream is to innovate the consumer electronics industry via my passion for hardware architecture or join the ranks of engineers innovating the commercial space industry!
