Profile bio

About Thomas Wilson

*Please note, I am not currently interested in any locum work* I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic Paramedic with 5 years post registration experience, 8 years emergency ambulance aid experience and a total of 11 years NHS ambulance service. I am also a qualified practice educator, advanced life support instructor and a member of the special operations support team (marauding terrorist attack and CBRN/HAZMAT incident). I have been building my experience and learning towards a role based around my interest in advanced clinical practice for the past 2 years with a goal of moving into a primary care or hospital setting. I also have an interest in education and training. This has included becoming a resus council advanced life support instructor, completing a level 3 BTEC in education and training and acting as a learning champion for my locality, providing CPD and workshop sessions along with support and remedial training for colleagues. I am aiming to increase my education level to MSc level in the near future. I also have a keen personal interest in clinical leadership, communication in crisis, crew resource management and human factors. My most recent interest is in quality improvements, identifying causal and contributing factors to incidents and leading change to promote and advocate patient and staff safety.
