    Oxigraf, Inc. develops, manufactures and distributes oxygen sensors and analyzers using patented laser diode absorption technology. Mechanical tasks at the company include optical, pneumatic, and general manufacturing. Mechanical engineering has also been responsible for user interface software for vertical applications and web site development. Electrical engineering here is responsible for circuit board design and support as well as maintaining and developing the firmware residing in the MPU at the heart of the sensor. We make sensors that monitor the breath-by-breath O2 and CO2 intake of a patient in a variety of environments. These can include sports medicine, patient transport and critical care units.Our industrial safety monitors have the singular advantage of no cross-sensitivity to helium, which makes them a very favorable choice in high energy physics laboratories around the world.The ullage analysis allows aircraft flight test engineers to measure the oxygen concentration in the fuel tanks to verify the operation of their OBIGGS equipment that produces a nitrogen blanket for increased flight safety on new aircraft being developed. This testing has been required by the FAA and other aviation authorities around the world in response to certain in-flight incidents that have attracted the attention of the public.

    Former laser diode manufacturer that never quite got off the ground. They tried to develop a vertical emitting 1310 nm laser that was based on conventional F-P techniques by using smoke and mirrors. I was doing laser coupling and packaging while there and developed an automated lens aiming system that was sold at auction when the company was liquidated. While the company had opportunities to get additional financing prior to 2002, after the World Com meltdown, the VC sources for fiber optic companies dried up and Nova Crystals withered on the vine.
