About Thomas Wojcik

History is one of my passions and it learned me to be critical and to analyse/combine information. A year after I finished my studies in History, I realised that I’d have more impact on the quality of our companies and society. In order to achieve this goal, I started a new BA in economics and management. I’ve chosen consciously for a full time bachelor to get the most precise approach of economics and management principles. More thoroughly than it’d have been in a complementary MA. The business world is facing a lot of challenges nowadays: hyper-bureaucracy, burn-outs, bullshitjobs, de-economies, … In my opinion, companies should be concerned by the scarcest resources: healthy/motivated workers and earthly reserves. That’s why Palliative Care interests me. When the other part of the medical world is trying to “save” its patients, it even may happen that the cure is worse than the disease (pain, discomfort, …), the PC is concerned on the patient itself. Furthermore, PC allocates the resources in a more efficient fashion way and permits everyone spending quality time at the end of their lives. This experience is a powerful tool to manage human ressources of the Boghossian Foundation in the prestigious Villa Empain. The position at Boghossian Foundation is a good opportunity to link my cultural and managerial knowledge to my interest for the Art déco period. On the side of this main activity, I remain attached to the Brussels Federation of Palliative Care as volunteer to offer management assistance to the organisation.
