Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the automotive lab which houses:• Two steady state eddy current dynamometers• One AC motor transient diesel engine dynamometer• One, two wheel AC motor transient chassis dynamometer• Four-post servo-hydraulic automotive ride simulatorThese test rigs have been recently re-commissioned under my supervision as part of a refurbishment of the automotive laboratory. As well as operating the equipment I am also responsible for supporting PHD students, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. This entails all stages of testing, from planning and designing a particular test to the implementation and analysis of the test data. My role also involves finding and rectifying faults that would prevent a successful test.

Primarily responsible for the design and optimisation of the vehicle drive-train. Also managed and provided technical assistance to fourth years conducting work on the Formula Student vehicle. Planned, organised and carried out one of the four critical manufacturing stages, this included sourcing manufacturers, raw materials and negotiating costs. Day-to-day responsibilities also include event submissions, sponsorship newsletter articles as well as creating and updating risk assessments. I am also heavily involved with workshop activities including the vehicle maintenance and assembly.
