I am a professional that has spent the past 35 years serving my community and nation. I enjoyed a 22 year career in Law Enforcement and am a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's National Academy. I have also served proudly in the U.S. Army. I have served both as an enlisted soldier and a commissioned officer. I currently serve full time with the New Mexico Army National Guard and am a graduate of the U.S. Army War College where I completed a National Security Affairs Fellowship at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. I have extensive operational experience in both law enforcement and combat arms with the U.S. Army. I have extensive experience in leadership and management. I enjoy positions of responsibility that provide me an opportunity to continue to learn and challenge my abilities as a leader. I thrive on new opportunities in problem solving and building cohesive well trained teams for both existing organizations and new initiatives related to community service and organizational effectiveness. I am happily married with two children, both grown and enjoy living in the country and farming as a hobby. I m also an avid reader and am an amateur historian focusing on American government and the military history of the United States.
