- Currently a Supervisory Patent Examiner (SPE) in the mechanical engineering arts dealing with robotics, vehicle control, and navigation (Art Unit 3658A) at the USPTO (part of the Department of Commerce); managing/leading a team of a dozen patent examiners of all grade levels and experience, including at least two Primary examiners; rising through the examination ranks since June 2013 to finally become a manager of his own Art Unit in October 2024- Engineering professional with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, minor in Mechanical Engineering, and a concentration in Architecture from Cornell University while on a full ride 5-year AFROTC scholarship; M.S. in Engineering Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT); engineering undergraduate degree included study abroad to University of Sydney in Australia- Qualifications also include nine years' active duty military experience in international and homeland engineering, construction, project/program planning, programming, management, and sustainment while serving as a Civil Engineer Officer in the United States Air Force- Outstanding leadership managing large teams of design engineers, construction managers, inspectors, programmers, project managers, resource advisors, and craftsmen of all trades- Ability to focus on process improvement efforts, data analysis, deadline/detail-oriented situations, emergencies; well educated in six sigma, lean thinking, process reengineering, and systems engineering- Trusted overseer of budgets, processes, people, emergency management situations/resources- Inactive Secret clearance, active Public Trust clearance, LEED AP BD&C credentials, FE certification, and permanent full signatory authority from the USPTO- Published author of technical statistics-based article in peer-reviewed journal Military Medicine
