I handle all welfare enquiries that come into the School of Geography and Planning, and offer face-to-face and virtual support for students via email and telephone. I attend student welfare meetings and monitor attendance regulations for students. I am skilled in all Google and Microsoft applications and adhere to strict regulatory deadlines. I work closely with colleagues to enhance the student experience through organising and carrying out student focused events. I run regular presentations aimed at raising awareness of support for students, act as a Disability Liasion and actively sit on a number of student-staff committees. My role finds a balance between student support and enhancing the student experience.

As the Senior Enquiries Adviser for the Student Services Information Desk (SSiD) I handled thousands of student enquiries on an annual basis via our front desk, email, telephone and live chat services. I was the first point of contact for escalated enquiries, and supported our front desk team on a day-to-day basis. I line managed our team, and would regularly hold one-to-one meetings to ensure that staff were receiving adequate support throughout their journey in their roles. I took a lead on our weekly meetings, and managed and ran our in-person work shadowing programme. I supported and helped senior colleagues deliver our five-year plan.

As an Enquiries Adviser, I handled all of our front-facing desk enquiries providing students with documentation, advice and signposting. I gained significant experience handling emails, phones and live chats and managed our archives process as part of my role which enhanced my analytical skills. My role was fast-paced and led to my promotion as a Senior Enquiries Adviser in March 2022.

As a Information and Communications Assistant I was the first point of contact working on the Student's Union Welcome Desk. This role handled thousands of enquiries annually from students and visitors to the Student's Union involving signposting, and providing advice and guidance throughout the building. I provided tickets for student events, handled all deliveries into the building and was the first recipient for any emails or telephone calls. I also managed our lost property in the building and acted as a line manager for our casual staff helping to organise and arrange the casual rota.
