About Thomas Yasewicz
Computer/Firmware/FPGA Engineer with extensive experience in VHDL, Python, and digital logic design. Strong emphasis on thorough design documentation and "test early and often" development techniques utilizing automated unit testing frameworks (VUnit). Have leadership experience with Waterfall and Agile program management styles.I enjoy work that grants me autonomy and involvement with all stages of the design, development and test processes. On my current program I started as the sole computer engineer, which began with internal investment dollars and has since secured a customer and become a much larger development team. This allowed me to be at the ground level as ideas were translated into design documentation, and then to code, hardware and finally a product.I have experience with Spartan, Virtex and Zynq RFSoC (ARM-based) Xilinx FPGAs. Development experience includes VHDL, Python (both general scripting and testbenching), and light C++ and Matlab. My job also requires that I am proficient at design documentation, hardware testing with lab tools, interfacing with the customer and filling in leadership roles for extended periods of time.
