I have just graduated from the University of Salford from which I was awarded a first in my subject of media technology under the guidance of Laurence Murphy and Fiona Broadbent. During my three years at the university I had hands on experience working within a working broadcast studio both on the studio floor working the cameras, micing up guests as well as full bands, set up the lighting and then set sequences for the lights to play. I also worked in the control room doing a number of roles such as racking, graphic overlays, quality control, cutting between cameras as the vision engineer and also as an audio engineer. On top of that I have also learnt and put into practice how these studios are built and experienced the process of designing one and collecting the required equipment myself with my second year project being designed a new building that has 4 studios and in third year we took it one step further and designed a 8K HDR 30 camera OB vehicle which would have been used for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. I have also experience with cyber security within the broadcast industry with my final year dissertation focusing on hacking within the broadcasting world where I give a detailed breakdown of some of the biggets attacks in the industry for example TV5 Monde and how the companies where able to recover from them.
