New challenges are always great opportunities to build new relationships and positive school cultures that place student achievement as the first priority. In 2018 I joining the Elementary leadership team as principal at East Elementary. Student performance at East has increased each year, we were the highest performing school in 2023 based on the WI School Report Card criteria. The credit goes to the staff, we have worked hard to strengthen teacher collective efficacy. At the end of this school year I will be retiring after 33 years in public education. I have been fortunate to work with excellent educators at both the high school and Elementary level. Our recent work at the Elementary level has been centered on building a strong foundation for young learners, using formative and summative data to monitor, guide, and strengthen our MLSS. It was essential that we created conditions that promoted social and emotional growth. Our school family, parents, and caregivers all worked together to assure that every student developed a love for learning. I'm proud of the success we have experienced at East. I'm looking forward to new opportunities where my experience and skills can be an asset to the team.
