Quality Manager
Current• Responsible for the management of the Quality Control and Concrete Resources departments. Member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee. • Created a new concrete mix design with a 100yr life span for Broadway Subway Project, colour matched the 25yr old Museum of Anthropology building at UBC, and several other architectural/structural mixes.• Developed inspection/test plans and work procedures for several precast components such as I/Box/Tub/NU Girders, Double T’s, Spandrels, Architectural Wall Panels, Deck Panels, Approach Slabs, Columns, Beams, Tunnel Liners, Fender Blocks, Pile Caps, and Hollowcore. • Responsible for all 3rd party audits from CPCQA, PCI, WSDOT, and client. • Developed and communicated project specific Quality Plans which outlines the product life cycle from incoming raw material handling, concrete batching, construction, inspection, and shipping/delivery. The Quality Plan also identifies specific project risks or challenges and how the risks are mitigated. • Conducted contract reviews for bids to identify risks and opportunities. • Responsible for day to day operations of the batch plant which includes scheduling, testing, maintenance, purchasing, inventory management, mix design development, troubleshooting, and submissions to the client.• Started CPCQA / CPCI plant certification from scratch, completed all necessary documentation, pre-audits, and final audits so that we were able to produce in the Canadian and American markets.• Conducted an audit with a representative from the Ministry of Environment. Responsible for bringing the facility up to code from the previous audit in 1994.• Con-Force Structures Ltd. took over from Armtec and I was retained as key management personnel.
