My chief responsibilities were creating and maintaining CAD data, as well as mentoring contractors and direct hires. • Modeling and detailing of office & residential furniture using Creo.• PDM via Windchill, utilizing change management process to control CAD revisions and lifecycle states.• Materials/construction methods include injection-molded & vacuum-formed plastics, die-cast & machined alloys, weldments, extrusions, sheet metal, wood, and fiberboard.• DFM: accurate 3D models with all tooling considerations, drawings with complete dimensions & tolerances, including GD&T (ASME Y14.5). •Continuous improvement of designs to aid manufacturability.• Managing complete CAD scope from concept to production, with hundreds of parts and assemblies involved.• Tool-safe revisions for die-cast and molded parts to eliminate re-tooling.• Surface modeling where required.• Extensive family table use to capture complete product scope.• Assist in the development of end-user materials such as marketing imagery and installation instructions.• Training new hires on CAD & PDM procedures.• Self-managing priorities.

We utilized pre-existing design data to reproduce accurate, but simplified, CAD representations of TE's products for customer use.
