Brought in to AGC to finish bringing AGC's first North American microbial upstream process development lab online for new product introduction from microbial cell lines. Performing shakedown runs for our Sartorius 5 L bioreactors, we successfully transferred projects to our Manufacturing, Science, and Technology (MSAT) group for preparation for cGMP manufacturing. In addition, I supported our MSAT and manufacturing groups perform their engineering shakedown runs at-scale, including developing a disc-stack centrifugation strategy, and scaling depth filters for at-scale use.Responsibilities included, writing batch records for development work in UPD, working in a client facing role to plan, execute, perform data analysis, and update the client on our progress. Maintaining the lab by scheduling and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of pieces of equipment. Reviewing and approving documents from other departments in preparation for their cGMP at-scale runs.

Promoted to Associate Supervisor to lead a small team to execute cGMP aseptic and ISO5 cell culture expansion activities. Responsibilities include scheduling operators to execute expansion Batch Production Records, accurately maintain the inventory of the cell banks, drafting technical documents protocols and reports, training/mentorship of staff with special attention to aseptic technique protocols, cell counters, and metabolite bioanalyzer, in addition to driving process improvement initiatives.Additional responsibilities include daily review of executed cGMP documentation, coordinates with manager and production planners to prioritize and schedule activities to meet established deadlines, coordinates with operators and facilities staff regarding the preventative maintenance schedules, working with Quality Assurance to draft and close events and records using Catalent's Quality Systems, while gaining experience in managing direct reports through personal experience and leveraging existing resources from Catalent's People Leaders.

Brought in as a Senior Process Associate to lead/co-lead cGMP Cell Culture Biomanufacturing production activities. Responsibilities include accurately reporting of Batch Production Records/data review, drafting technical documents protocols and reports, training/mentorship of staff and driving process improvement initiatives.Additional responsibilities include daily review of executed cGMP documentation, coordinates with supervisor to prioritize and schedule activities to meet established deadlines, performs aseptic techniques in a clean room environment, operates and troubleshoots cGMP Biomanufacturing equipment such as single-use bioreactors, tubing fusers/sealers, peristaltic pumps, balances and Biosafety Cabinets.

Fermentation R&D Scientist in a BSL-2 capable laboratory. Responsibilities included performing fermentations on bench scale fermentation equipment, calibration of fermentation equipment (pH, DO, pumps, GC-MS, etc), and using a variety of software packages (Excel, R, MATLAB, JMP, BioPro) to perform analysis for key metrics for process development. Collaborated closely with colleagues responsible for strain engineering as well as with scientists from other sites within the organization.In addition to laboratory duties, I was active in enhancing our safety culture at BASF by being our laboratory's site safety coordinator, being a member on the site safety committee, and as our site's coordinator for the global white biotechnology safety team.

Performs weekly fermentation experiments using New Brunswick 310 and Eppendorf 320 Bioreactors.
