After receiving my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois, I worked for several years in the American Bottom region of Central-Southern Illinois for the Illinois State Archaeological Survey (ISAS). There I conducted a wide variety of field investigations, mostly Phase III archaeological recovery efforts.Starting in 2009 I pursued my Master's Degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. My Masters thesis research focused on Late Woodland/Middle Mississippian interactions at the prehistoric site of Aztalan in Southeast Wisconsin. After receiving my degree I served as the Senior Project Manager/Research Specialist for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Cultural Resource Management Services. In August 2014 I became an instructor at the University of Toledo Department of Sociology and Anthropology, transitioning to a full-time Lecturer in August 2015. I remained as an analytical specialist for UWM-CRM and ISAS for two years following my move to Ohio, focusing on data analysis and contract report writing. Since 2015, in addition to teaching anthropology at the University of Toledo, I operate a Cultural Resource Management firm and provide anthropologically-oriented archaeological services and assistance to clients in need of managing their cultural resource/historic preservation concerns to fulfill the requirements of state and federal historic preservation laws and policies. Since in 2017, I've started exploring geometric morphometric analyses as they are applied to artifact shape analyses.
