As a Chief Developer it is my responsibility to ensure that the architecture and code design complies with very high standards set forth by policies, strategies and best practices. This includes Peer Code Review, GDPR, Security, Performance SLAs and Cost Optimization. Ranging from servless through microservices, SOA, Fullstacks as well as pure frontends.To achieve this goal I work closely with fellow Developers, Architects, DevOps and Business Unit. Furthermore I lend myself to upfront idea bouncing and problem solving, even for senior developers. I myself rely on colleagues to bounce ideas off - even junior developers makes one reflect about APIs and code design.Though I wrote my master thesis in AI, I have a very deep foundation in business-rule-based code, performance, REST APIs and browser technologies. I personally reduced a multi-string matching problem to an integer comparison problem, implemented the Hungarian Algorithm to solve an assignment problem and have used graph theory, compiler theory and a wide range of other areas of computer science to solve challenging problems.I am biased towards Domain Driven Design and Test Driven Development. I firmly believe in the SOLID principles especially SRP and SoC. One of my primary focus areas is Static Code Analysis, as a means to reduce production errors eg. to prevent errors in semantically correct code, which are not caught by the compiler or test cases.Likewise, I strive for immutability and utilize functional programming. I am very well versed in thread safety and I find the functional paradigm and immutability to be great tools to ensure thread safety. It mixes nicely with the Object Oriented Programming paradigm. My expertize in thread safety extends to complex asynchronous data flows across multiple applications as well as reasoning about such flows and the (eventual) consistency of them. I thrive in a Cloud environment which can be utilized to ones advantage, empowering the developer to focus on business critical code. Likewise with regard to code generation tools; reduction of boilerplate code can alleviate errors while improving readability, simply because the mental load is reduced. This is imperative when working in large/complex codebases.Enumerating all my experience would be too long a list, suffice it to say I am very familiar with many frontend technologies, AWS Cloud Services and C-style languages as well as Python and various Basic languages such as Visual Basic derivatives. In particular I am an expert in Java and in the ecosystem surrounding Java.
