- Senior mentor to an Afghan National Army General and his 30-member Joint staff. - As Integration Cell Officer-in-Charge, encouraged all Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) organizations to work with each other and collaborate with U.S., Italian and Spanish mentors, and NATO/U.S. personnel in Kabul.- As the organization's principal external liaison, coordinated regional and provincial strategic development and reconstruction efforts with the Herat provincial governor, the NATO (Italian) Regional Commander, ANSF general officers, and other critical NGO and IO directors to build capacity, and increase governance, security, and social and economic growth.- Organized and led a joint, multinational mentor team to develop and implement detailed plans for the resourcing of 140+ Afghan personnel and $5M of equipment, the scheduling of training, and conduct of operations for four provincial headquarters which synchronize, coordinate and monitor joint Afghan Army, National Police and Border Police operations across 62,000 square miles of western Afghanistan.- Advised the Afghan Joint headquarters staff in support of the 2008 voter registration and the 2009 National Election Planning and Support process for the Afghan Presidential and provincial elections in the West region.
