I have over 20 years of experience in tax accounting, compliance and consulting for both publicly traded and privately-held companies. My career also includes working in the corporate tax department of a multibillion dollar, multinational company where I performed tax compliance and tax accounting functions, assisted with the implementation and training of a shared service center and had hands-on experience with Corptax and other technologies. Currently, I am a Director with BDO USA, where I help our clients develop a risk-based approach to their global income tax reporting processes and maximize their efficiencies through the use of technology.BDO helps companies redesign their tax processes, including the implementation of tax software solutions and expanded utilization of existing ERP systems. The combination of our tax technical knowledge, broad experiences and technology expertise has helped our clients streamline the calculation and delivery of their tax reporting requirements. Our clients have more time to devote to reviewing and analyzing their income taxes instead of manipulating data.I hold a degree in Accounting from Calvin College and Master of Science in Taxation from Grand Valley State University.
