Direct and manage all aspects of a newly formed international non-profit organization including membership, fund development, education, research, finance, governance, marketing as well as the day-to-day business operations such as accounting and project management. With the assistance of 5 employees and/or contractors I manage the implementation the strategic plan at the direction of the Board including a global scientific meeting and 4-8 regional symposia each year.Key Accomplishments:-Achieved LLC status for the organization-Implemented its first business plan, finding stakeholders and funders-Expanded membership by 22% in the first year-Implemented a corporate support program; increasing support by 33% in the first two years-Implemented the dues and fees structures -Expanded educational programs and reach to nearly 1,500 surgeons in the first year-Increased annual meeting attendance by 29% in three years

Work with the boards and executive team to understand the growing needs of both organizations; Develop new revenue streams and integrate into the annual development plans and budgets; Provide professional support and advice to the Board of Directors on all matters regarding fund development and corporate partnerships. Assist with budgeting, policy writing, as well as implementing and executing procedures consistent with the strict ethics and standards expected of a national medical association. Generate revenue for research and programmatic needs; Identify and solicit funding sources; Prepare proposals for corporate, foundation and individual donors; Execute donor recognition programs and cultivation processes; Support the Board of Directors, standing committees and task forces; Assist the Executive Director with the administrative functions that support the goals and objectives of the Foundation; Develop and implement administrative procedures that support resource development; Research and write foundation grant requests; Document and report the impact of the Foundations programs to current and prospective donors; Ensure timely completion and reporting of programs to the Board of Directors; Serve as liaison between ASERF and funding organizations.

Build and maintain relationships with key executives at medical device and pharmaceutical companies; Promote the Society, its mission and educational goals to various constituents; Work with the Board of Directors to develop strategies that ensure continued corporate funding. Expand the corporate sponsorship program in compliance with Society policies and procedures, as well as ACCME AdvaMed and PhARMA guidelines; Increase educational grants, corporate sponsorship revenue, advertising income and special project funding; Set appropriate goals and budgets for the resource development program; Manage the fundraising activities for ASERF.

Assist the Development Officer with the planning and implementation of the Park andRecreation’s first Development Office. Create marketing programs and opportunities for corporate funders; Identify and solicit corporate sponsors and write individualized proposals; Manage the memorial gift program; Assist with the annual Volunteer Recognition Banquet; Work with volunteers and elected officials to implement park projects and programs.
