I taught Advanced Level mathematics at Old Moshi Secondary School, a Tanzanian public school. The curriculum was equivalent to first- and second-year U.S. university work in calculus and differential equations. My students’ math scores on the national exams were among the best in the country, reversing many years of poor results at the school.
