The Dioxin division of OMECC was used to test the levels of dioxins in various samples, collected from contaminated or suspected sites of contamination in nature. While there, I complied with laboratory PPE and SOPs to reduce accidents. Extracted solid parts from wet samples and further reduced them into minute/fine particles to distillate contaminants. Cleaned up and disposed of used and broken glassware. Concentrated contaminants removed from extracts. Extracted and concentrated dioxins. Labelled, stored, and disposed of hazardous chemicals and used/broken equipment. - Increased number of experiments and reduced cleaning time by thoroughly ensuring cleanliness and testing final cleaning wash in high-resolution gas chromatography and mass spectrometer (HR GCMS).
