Being successful as a recruiter is about thoroughly understanding an organization—its culture, roles, goals, and mission—and then identifying those individuals who will assist in the organization's success; not the ones with the best keywords on their resume. This approach requires more work up front, but ultimately saves the company and candidates a lot of headaches later on.I take a strategic approach to talent acquisition. TA is much more than posting a job and waiting for applicants. I build trust and develop a partnership with my hiring managers to ensure we're aligned regarding the actual need of the organization.My recruiting experience expands through a wide range of roles and departments in the SaaS and software space. I have experience recruiting for both high volume positions such as software support and implementation roles, as well as the more nuanced ones such as Software Engineering, Product Design, IT, and Creative roles. I have the opportunity to take a front seat ride through this journey of growing a company. Currently, I'm working on a new initiative at BambooHR that includes developing a brand new Payroll division within the organization.Some people are counting the days until they retire. My goal is to do something so that I won't want to.
