J&E is primarily a merchant services company, but they wanted to also offer web properties to their clients. My task was to build a team and infrastructure that could put out a new mobile-friendly website with updated location search information, new social media accounts and regularly-updated content on a weekly basis. All within a 30 day SLA. I hired two graphic designers, one content manager, one junior developer and myself to complete this team. We used JIRA as our project management software in conjunction with Capsule CRM.Internally, I set my client up with a virtual private server (VPS) to serve his content from, with WordPress Multi User installed and WordPress MU Domain Mapping in place. Thus, websites were served up at their own J&E-managed domain names, but from a single installation of WordPress, thus significantly lowering the cost of maintenance to J&E. This environment included the LAMP stack, firewall, SMTP relay and the normal but minimal requirements for a functioning web server.
