As a Managing Director, I am heading IWC’s Timberland Investment Advisory business unit.I have the overall responsibility for the financial aspects of TIA clients’ current and future investments and serves as a member of the IWC IP investment committee.The Timberland Investment Advisory (TIA) business unit at IWC has 25 years of experience with indirect timberland investments and manages or advises on timberland investments and ecosystem services with a total AUM/AUA of close to USD 5.5 billion.

As a financial analyst in the due diligence department, I was responsible for the financial analysis of all new investment opportunities including quantitative team and track record analysis, and the assessment of financial models and assumptions behind the managers’ underwriting criteria. I also developed IWC’s internal fund of fund models including new tools to improve the decision-making basis of the Investment Committee in relation to potential new investments.My responsibilities included:• Financial analysis of cash flow models from managers on new investment opportunities including remodeling to allow for sensitivity and scenario analyses and tax and currency considerations• Assessment of managers’ modeling assumptions including in-depth analyses on pricing and costs• Quantitative team and track record analysis on managers• On the ground due diligence including management team interviews, forest and sawmill tours and assessment of models and management tools• Development of IWC’s fund of fund models and related tools to improve analysis in relation to risk, allocation and cash management• Taking part in Investment Committee meetings to present and discuss my findings on new investments and IWC’s fund of funds

In this role, I managed and improved the reporting on a variety of areas including interest rate derivatives, currency exposure and hedging and reports for regulatory authorities. I also took part in projects for implementing reporting changes such as Solvency II and group level strategy changes. My responsibilities included:• Improving the analysis and reporting on interest rate derivatives• Taking part in projects on company and group level• Analyzing report results and report those to different internal stakeholders such as the Investment Department, Risk Department, Executives and Board of Directors• Improving the quality and efficiency of different existing reports• Securing that reports were able to handle changing data in NLP’s SQL database

Following the fusion between AP Pension and FSP Pension, I was a part of the Risk Department at AP Pension and was a key member of several working processes related to including FSP assets in the AP Pension database and being able to report on FSP assets through the AP Pension framework.My responsibilities included:• Transferring my knowledge of FSP assets to key members of the organization• Securing that third-party providers could provide reports in the most efficient manner for AP Pension• Securing correct implementation of FSP data in AP Pension’s SQL database• Taking over different reporting areas in the AP Pension risk department

In this role, I was in charge of daily risk management at FSP Pension. I also developed a new pension benefit model for retirees in market rate to be used at FSP and oversaw the assets side of the QIS 5 calculations.My responsibilities included:• Risk calculations using traffic light, individual solvency and QIS 5 methodologies for internal use and reporting to the FSA• ALM calculations for potential hedging changes including exposures on interest rate derivatives such as swaps, swaptions and repos as well as equity futures• Controlling data and reports supplied by third-party providers• Performance evaluation and attribution analysis on allocation and selection• Improving Excel risk and allocation models for better analysis and higher efficiency• Preparing all material for the FSP’s Risk Committee and quarterly memos for the Board of Directors on the upholding of asset allocation limitations and the individual solvency

In this role, I supported the CIO and the Portfolio Managers by supplying a variety of reports and calculations.My responsibilities included:• Weekly reports on asset allocation and investment returns• Weekly calculations on currency exposure for hedging adjustments• Tracking private equity commitments, contributions and distributions• Improving Excel reporting spreadsheets for better reporting and higher efficiency• Preparing quarterly Power Points for the CIO to present to the Board of Directors• Ad hoc calculations and analyses for CIO and Portfolio Managers
